Warmth in Another.

I'm looking for
warmth in another.
There is no heat
in these tired eyes
and bloodless fingers.

Just me,
is like shivering
on a sidewalk
sheeted with
packed down ice.

You and I
together,
we're the embers
of an eternally
stoked fire.

  1. I enjoy the way you linked your fractured images together. A sensitive poem.
